Eidetic memories

Hello again. Let talk about my eidetic memories. Can I remember everything? Of course not, BUT I am extremely capable of remembering a lot of things from history, numbers, details to specifications. Aspies in general have great memory. How is it so? Since they are obsessed in many things, the brain function automatically rewinds same information over time creating a permanent imprint. Likewise myself I am passionate and obsessed in many things.

My eidetic memory is quite overwhelming, and improved a lot over past year as I having a good time exploring myself and the world finding things to do and learn about new things. Having a good memory also usually based on food diets and exercising. Although for my case it does seem collerated with my intelligence. I am a regular person taking an exercise physically and eat plentiful fruit and veggies everyday with copicious amount of fresh H20.

So how physical exercise and wellbeing influences on my abilities of eidetic memory? Like I said earlier that I am passionate and obsessed with many things, it helps a lot to improve on myself to build new memory cells in my brain by correct exercise abilities and dietary intake. What I believe avoiding alcohol, drugs and chemical processed foods is also another factor that plays the development. I am very proud of myself being a typical Aspie with eidetic memory because I made a right choice by taking right food and drink to consume for looking after myself. But it not just about Aspies around the world can have this ability. I know few many people with high IQ are found genetic or also did a same role on correct diet and exercise like myself.

Looking after myself is a positive outcome for my future. I want to have a great memory because it saves time and space for the future remarks. I shall be employable just as simply proving that I am able to provide resources and capabilities. Many cases involve Aspies working professionally are found as great ethical workers because they have eidetic memory and capabilities to task things up in a more motivated and organised ways. I find that I am a same :)

Sometimes I wish I have better than just an eidetic memory, like remember the storyline of entire Harry Potter series. Tell the story without reading the book. But this is enough for me to prove myself intelligent. It is indeed important to have intelligent people around the world because I find them very helpful for those who are not, or trying to learn. Imagine a world without eidetic memory, intelligence and high IQ. We would never invented Ipad and many other inventions today! Happy memories everyone :)

Bullies - what's an excuse?

Being a victim of bullies and insults is quite hard to express the troubles of what is exactly going on. In an aspie's world, bullies still do happen into young adult years. I am 23 years old and I still experience bullies today. They are mostly verbal such as political/belief attacks, related influences and social perspectives. While most people around the world who are being victims of bullies usually do not share the troubles. Depression and anxiety becomes a problem under this scenario. I used to be like this, until I stepped out of my comfort zone I started to express my feelings.

So what's worth bullying people? All aspies always get bullied because of different perspectives. During young adult years especially my experiences I always have people to mock around my actions. This is familar to discriminationary and racism actions by applying the judgments of appearances and behaviour/culture. Hardest thing to get out of the bully bubble is to pretend to be like them. Being like non aspies is very difficult because the way I act and react cannot be expressed into different perspectives.

Over many years I experienced cyber bullies from weather community, urban design and aspies forums. It has been three years since the last time I was being a member of these forums, this is because I don't want to continue experiencing nightmares. In first couple of years my university degree I also experienced bullies from the colleges. I was being passionate to things in relevant to my discipline; I shared these interests to the members of the colleges. Sadly I was being influenced by their mockery and judgments. Imagine if I am being a politican working to help our communities I would be fairly likely to be targeted by conservatives, criminals and narrow minded people.

What I can say from my perspective, bullies are like being conservative and fighter. I never bullied anyone in my life, ever because I don't blame people actions instead I expressed my feelings towards their actions. For instance, why ignoring me. Bullies can be on different level - such as silent action; when a bully do not let the victim know what is happening and on other level the actions is clear and exposed to everyone.

So these bullies in political environment from different beliefs is quite frequent. Sometimes bullies lead to wars like what is happening in Middle East. So nowadays I experience bully from Facebook. Since the popularity of Facebook has demanded our society I met many people who are being a conservative to my actions in similiar fashion as what I experienced during high school. It sounded like these bullies trying to make an excuse of my way of lifestyle. I have been negatively labelled as a retard and pedophile many times over the years by judging my writing and photos.

Ok so what we all should do about it? Since many causes and campaigns around the world focused on bullying. It does not seemed has changed a lot since I first experienced bullies. Most days I started ignore them and pretend I have acknowledged them. That was once the non verbal bullies stopped. But that doesn't change the way how they do, especially continuing to do so. The problem what we have is education. In Australia as example of one of these nations around the world have poor education skills and awareness. The fact we all know it that bully is a common crime everyday. Most bullies I experienced it is from a non educated person. Silent bullies can be either from educated or non educated background. Why this case so? Silent bullies are like judgmentals and narrow minded conservative attitudes. For example; never listen nor reply my responses, tell other people not to interact with me, and discuss things behind my back. I am a victim of silent bully everyday. Do they ever realise they are wasting time doing it?

The laws isn't strong enough for bullies. Punishment must apply and the results should be more educated. Bullies from either virtual and non virtual world must be punished by a law on different levels; if the victim experienced injury or death from the influence of bullies, the offenders should be identified on same level as murder or attacker. The world without bullies we all should never worry about the crimes!?

What is like being alone?

This is a big ask for everyone who doesn't understand why and how I feel alone. Many Aspies I know are always being alone, sometimes they being lonely. I feel lonely more than alone these days because I only have one best mate who is only person I hang out - usually once or twice a fortnight for a day. Other times I do hang out with my family, which that is also important people to be with.

So, being lonely is a factor to depression and anxiety of the person. I spent most of my teenagers and young adult years feeling like this. Honestly I can tell you why I feel like this - Aspies like myself, usually don't have enough compliments nor many friends to be in company with. Each time I spent time lonely is when I feel being stuck and that makes me like got nothing to do. My brain function shuts down to neuro-static state; makes me feel stubborn. There are many results I experienced this, as a factor -
  • trying to find something to do when some interests/passion isn't available to play with
  • conserving efforts to find people to hang out with, but the rejection is a cause of being uncomfortable - (this is where able bodied people don't understand how Aspies when being approached)
  • lack of resources to deal with - such as employment and community facilities (availability as well)
Now, in general we all don't want to be depressed or anxious; but remember there are people out there who wants to deal with same thing as you do. Why not bother with them? Many times when I feel lonely, I always seek something to do that is actually proves the result of being positive. I am so sick and tired of able bodied people telling me 'chin up' and 'don't be negative' all the time. This does not get me anywhere. My mind is not what your mind is thinks. When I was a kid, few times I tend to get upset or hurt there always people approached me especially my family always cheer me up by actually DOING SOMETHING with me! Not verbally telling me what to do. My mind cannot change unless something positive to happen.

I am very honest and resourceful kind of person because I know I don't want to hurt other people feelings. What so ever makes them feel lonely, depressed or anxious. I don't do that. BUT, when I observe people feeling down (from my experiences I have done with before) I always get him/her to feel happy again when I make a move; for instance - I said 'everything is ok, but remember what you are now is a positive thing'....etc.............then I took him/her out to do things with as a compliment. This is a way how Aspies should be treated as well.

The main point of this loneliness should not be an excuse of another person, because it will make things worse. When you see someone is being alone or lonely, please always and always check on with them. You may ended up having a good day! I would LOVE to have someone do that to me because I know it does help to build my confidence up. At this point of time, I will also learn how to appreciate people. I really hope everyone reads this blog make a great change of their life of knowing someone who has been lonely recently. Please make our people a better world :)

Getting excited!

Life is exciting isn't it? Of course. When something is happening to me brings good results I tend to become excited. Excitement makes my blood flow stronger and the flows of 'goodness' into my head. I love it when this happens. I am not sure able bodied people feel a same thing?

Why I am looking forward to something which is exciting to me? Because, I want to be positive person. Everytime, when things involves me; for example - barracking a football team I support, severe thunderstorm approaches towards me as my passion of nature, visiting to see somebody and vice versa. After a while I spend time being alone doing things for myself such as recapping life, chores and personal development/mentality, I tend to look more forward to be involved with other people, nature and passion.

Before I finally hang out with a person or in a group my positive energy builds up. Like hanging out with my mate, few friends and family members. My excitement goes beyond my mind. I tend to become uncontrollably humourous and ecstatic. When comes to these situations I always enlighten and brings positivism the other person. Is this what able bodied people is looking forward to? Do they want to consume my excitable and humourous energy to make themselves happier and understanding?

Excitement which brings positivism very important for me because I have to avoid being depressed or mentally unwell. I am sure other people would feel a same in this way. Lot of times I spent worrying why other people don't want to consume my positivism. Everyone told me, in reality, always say don't be negative. Is that what they want? Wanting me to stay positive? Be manageable about that!

I LOVE spending times being excited because it helps my chemicals feeling in my body to stay positive and mentally capable as long as it can. Big question is, is this a big attractive thing of myself to be welcomed by other people especially able bodied people to hang out with me since I am being so reflective on positivism manners? The longer I stay positive including externalities is the better I understand from the able bodied's side of the world. I want to understand that side because I want to be respectful and forgiving. My body want to be so clear and sure about the perceptions and differences.

I am looking forward to spend time with people because I am funny, exciting and attractive kind of person :)

Giving up hope?

Depression, anxiety and stress is one of common factors plays in a typical Aspie lifestyle. Why? There is way too much pressure in language, social and environmental barriers between an Aspie and able-bodied perspectives.

I am battling through these scenarios. I have sought to give up on many things which seem I LOVED to do that would be successful to me. Why I give up? I cannot handle too much pressure from able bodied people's perspective because they kept pushing and shoving me my opportunities away. The way how able bodied people communicates with me is very scary because I can sense negative attitude by the way how they react and respond to me.

As a result, I have left many social groups and stop talking to people whose does not bothered to contact me again. It is every day I face these issues. But, I am also certain that some able bodied people feels a same as well as Aspies. The problem is, how people can behave better in their own way before communicating with me so I won't feel depressive again? No one will know how to find a solution.

I don't like wasting my time and on one specific thing at a time because it dragging my positivism down by what I am hoping to be successful. I tend to work so hard and experience tiring efforts being a successful person everyday whilst finding something that I wanted to do. The longer I spend trying hard on something,  the more chances I tend to give up hope about it because I haven't recieved any positive results from it. Why I have to spend too much time trying things whilst negative results kept coming to me? Aspies like me do not like negative things. I am on two sides facing negative things - one is spending too much time trying for one specific thing, and two is getting a rejection at first time.

I think the problem is how able bodied people understand how I feel about this. They seem so effortlessly and uncertain of how to help. I am curious about this because they have fully functional brain and its' capable to understand everything, even more things than Aspies do. Like what I have spoken in previous blog entry, 'Am I hungry for a change?', I am seeking change in able bodied's attitudes towards me so they tend to be helpful towards me.

Most days I kept searching and searching whilst being positive for things I ENJOY the most that makes me feel happier and helps me to forget about negative things. Lot of friends (maybe some are not really friends) reject me with assumptions (but some have good reasonings) to hang out with me. The more the person reject me is the less I be confident to speak with. This drags me down a lot. My depression gets worse after a while when spending time to find a solution to over come this. I have same issue with finding employment as well. I used to constantly searching jobs, nowadays after getting rejected a lot is the lesser I spend time applying jobs. My confidence drags down a lot because rejections and losing hope does not provide opportunities.

Aspies like me feel like have nothing to do, and have no solution to find ways to over come problems. Able bodied's people world are easily influence our (Aspies) way of life. I am not happy to say this it is not on for the way how able bodied people treat Aspies like this. I rights to be myself like you unless able bodied people accept the way how I feel and want to seek change. It is an unfortunate that depression does negatively effect on friendships because it lets their confidence down on opportunities to provide me. But they do aware that I have no opportunities to experience since all of the rejections in the first place?

Its' up for able bodied people to say to provide opportunities for Aspies (the ones who have no life and depression) to give chance to live life. You may face a life sentence.

Am I hungry for a change?

Coincidently humans eat food everyday due to metabolism process. I.e. we are always hungry! Although, to this question am I hungry for a change? The answer is YES! Why? I spent about 18 years living in same place. I have lived in Northern Rivers since mid 1990's. I was raised here after I was born in Brisbane. I graduated high school at end of 2008 before going to University for four years (one year at UNE - Armidale and three years at JCU Townsville). After I arrived back from the US working holiday program for eight months, I am back in reality.

I done everything that I tried to make a change for my life. Now it has been over a year - in addition of 18 years of living life in Northern Rivers, I have tried so extremely hard finding jobs relating to my university qualifications and passion. I also tried so hard making new friends and joining groups of my interest. Socioeconomically, the region I live in is quite low compared to other parts of the country. Since John Howard came in power, our region suffer major economic decline. There were a lot of factors contributing this such as scaring young people away because there are not enough employment and educational opportunities for them. Community and governmental support services on the brink in reductions. I.e. lack of it!

Over last three months I started to feel effects of this socioeconomic climate, and also I started to understand why so many people around my age left. This made me feel so hungry for a change in my life. I thought my life did changed after I completed my Bachelor's degree at Townsville, and my travels in the US. Reality is a massive karma to me. This makes me feel so worthless, wasteful, depressing and stressing. I feel so terrible. I spend so many days, weeks and months imaginating my thoughts of how positive my life would be; thinking what I want to do and who I want to be!

Young people with disabilities in Australia experiences same thing. Lack of community services and support in regional areas put in place of extreme case scenarios of poverty and effects of poor attitudes from their own people. This is a worrying concern. I am very thankful for myself to realise that I am in this situation and wanted to make a BIG change. Not just that I thought I had changed my life after University and the US trip. Of course NOT. It about a move!

Past weeks I have decided to follow the way by moving back to Brisbane and experience a new change. Of course, a thriving city would be benefical for my expectations. There are a lot of questions on this. Am I getting an employment opportunity whilst studying/graduating at the University this time? Am I getting new 'proper' friends? (I will never ever forget I have my mate back home at this point!).

Is Australian government controlling communities economically and mentally over people with disabilities and young people in regional areas? It does seem so. I am one of them.

Are you talking to me or....?

It has been five days since my last post. Meanwhile I have been thinking about forms of communication. Are you talking to me or?

Making conversations is quite difficult for me. I usually speak out the basics like greeting words, 'how are you?', 'what you have been doing?'...and so on etc. After that, it seems like a dead end. I could say something more. Worthwhile, its seems that an able-bodied person couldn't continue to talk with me after that. Not many people seem confident in front of me. Why? Maybe that I have a hearing loss? I aware that it could spoil their mood if I didn't understand what they were saying when they are conversing excitedly.

Over years when I was at University and travelling to the US. Lot of people whose I met tend to get frustrated after a couple of times when I didn't get to understand what they say. Their reaction become rude; judging me who I am and then giving up talking to me forever. Indeed, she/he isn't a friend with the reaction like that?! BUT remember that it happens from you too if you are reading this blog!

I tend to upset about this because I couldn't do anything to improve myself to understand people speeches and body language. Like an automation. I don't have a solution. You cannot expect me to solve this crisis on my own since it is a non cureable disability? The BIG problem is YOU. That is how I become upset and frustrated reflecting from your reactions. Family and close friends does a same thing as well; they are more like not conversing with me much as other family members. I tend to miss more than 75% of the information if the third person intitate the conversation between all of us.

Can I just say 'sorry can you repeat that?' and/or 'what we are talking about?' in repetitive ways? Yes I can, but I always experienced that able-bodied person's reaction became off-putting because it kept delaying their conversation. This is an attitude problem. You can tell what is the difference between a deaf and hearing person? On other mind, it usually a new person whom I just met always talks to me more than others in same room just until she/he realised that I am an Aspie and have a hearing loss. The conversation fades out. Why? You can't expect me to dominate the conversation because everyone speaks out of pace. Most Aspies (especially hearing ones) have similar problem as well. We couldn't keep up talking because we have learning issues while we were younger. We didn't get along with language skills.

How you can improve on this issue? Communication is important key for partnership, businesses, relationships and friendships. Does this social rule says depending on what circumstances? It does not say depending on what kind of person's form of communication, disability, ethnicity or race etc. Far too many people I met so far in my life are terribly lazy at communicating. They seem very conservative about it. If this attitude problem keeps up; can I keep standing in same world forever and let the problem solve itself? Able-bodied people are RESPONSIBLE to make this work because they are very capable to communicate all forms of languages, unlike a deaf person who just do sign language.

If you feel like having a conversation with someone. Just be aware of what kind of communication challenge you expect from the person. Be pleasing. Non judgmental. Be aware, and encouraging. We are not different after all if everyone is understandable!
